With the mass production of the American automobile in the early 20th century, with the help of the mechanical assembly line process, Americans have been in a constant race to get the shiniest, fastest, and best possible vehicles as soon as they came off of the line. With Harley Earl creating the first Chevrolet Corvette with the V-6 engine in 1953, the race has never been the same.

Offering class, quality, speed, precision and a reasonable price in one vehicle, American consumers have turned to the Corvette as their sports car of choice. Whether you want to drive fast, get reasonable mileage, or simply just knock the socks off of anyone watching you drive, the Corvette is your choice. Purchasers of these fine cars have always been happy with the power and prestige, and the speeding tickets that come along with the potential power packed under the hood has been the only downfall to owning such an incredible machine.

From the signs of 50's replica diners, you can see early models of the Corvette displayed, reinforcing its popularity and prestige. Owning a Corvette is not only giving you an astoundingly powerful vehicle, but a piece of American history that you are able to hold onto, and fit into your niche in American culture. Corvette owners have been proud to own their speed machines, and have also been known to own exclusively General Motors vehicles due to the happiness they have all gained from the Corvette.

Now Chevrolet offers a Corvette with an eight cylinder engine, with paddle shifters on the steering wheel so it handles much like a Ferrari or other sports car, though the Corvette gets approximately 25 miles per gallon due to extensively fine tuning of the transmission, and the required maintenance for owning a foreign sports car such as a Lamborghini or Ferrari yearly, could buy you a brand new Corvette.

With General Motors replacement and repair parts being cheap and readily available to all consumers, they are able to perform maintenance and automobile repairs themselves should they be so inclined, whereas the foreign automobiles require extensive work for simple problems, and thus require a larger investment in repairs.
Whether a Corvette owners purchases just one as a daily driver, or collects a wide array of Corvettes as a hobby, the fact still stands that this make of the Chevrolet line has stood the test of time, and offers both speed and practicality to all owners.

    Corvette Power

As Americans some time in our lives we will not be happy with either our weight or out fitness levels, leading us to diet or buy a gym membership. That lasts for maybe a couple of months and then we get bored and want to change things up. For most of us during this step we quit and have to start over. Too bad there isn't something that can just be plugged in and work all the time. The same scenario can be used for car owners for example Corvette owners.
